At The Preston Health Center, our long-term care services are all about helping our permanent residents enjoy full, happy lives, with a minimum of obstacles along the way. Our amazing team assists with daily living activities like getting dressed, showering, and medication management, which gives residents the freedom to spend more time doing exactly what they please.
Accommodations
Elegant and upscale, the long-term accommodations at The Preston feel very much like apartment living. Although rooms are fully furnished, including cable, WiFi, and phone, we encourage our long-term residents to bring personal items to give their space an even more homey feel. Pets are welcome too!
Activities
At The Preston, we believe in nurturing the mind, body and spirit. Our in-house activities director is in charge of creating a diverse social calendar that’s designed to both intrigue, and inspire social interaction
Visiting
Visiting with family is the single most important thing for our long-term residents, and there isn’t a close second. Whether it’s sharing a meal in the dining room, relaxing in the Preston courtyard, or even leaving campus to explore Hilton Head, we encourage as much family and friend time as possible, without restrictions.
Safety
While we try to give our long-term residents as much independence as possible, safety and supervision are still paramount. Beyond helping residents with their everyday activities, our staff will “lightly” check in periodically to make sure everything is as it should be. Should an emergency arise, every room at The Preston has a 24-hour call-in system that summons immediate help.
